I’ve been busy every evening lately working on various projects to help increase my extra income. I’m hoping this effort and motivation continues throughout the month of February! I have lots of plans, and if I can manage my time efficiently, maybe something will pay off.
With that said, here are some things I want to accomplish in February…
$1200 Towards Debt.
Sticking with my original payoff plan, we will aim for $1200 or more towards debt this month. We are focusing on our two credit cards this year. As of right now, the combined balance of both cards is $6454.55. Ouch. This may be up in the air, because we are considering going after our car loan first (balance $7831.82), but we’re not 100% decided yet.
Create 2013 Budget.
I need to get on this. I’m still adjusting to the lower paychecks and can’t seem to get our numbers back on track. I’d like to cut more expenses, like television. We’re also starting to get a lot of unexpected medical bills, and I need to figure out a way to tackle these asap.
Make $500 in extra income.
That’s aiming low, I hope we surpass it, but it all depends on the husbands part-time job. I may throw a few items up on Ebay, or even Amazon.
Make $50 in etsy sales.
I’m actively working on my shop, and hope to boost sales! Keywords and marketing. Learning as I go. I even added the ‘etsy mini’ to my side bar. If $50 of our extra income is from etsy I will be thrilled.
Declutter!
I’d like to sell/trash/donate 50 items from around the house. There is just far too much crap in our house. We certainly don’t need it all.
Work on this website.
I’m going to reformat the debt page and get that updated soon. Maybe other content, I’m not entirely sure what just yet. Looking to generate a little traffic, perhaps monetize in the future!? It’s all a foreign concept to me, but I’m looking into it.
Create Resume
This. Must. Be. Done! I have a fantastic example resume a friend created that I’m using as a reference. I have tweaked mine already and even sent it out a few times {no bites}, but I know there is plenty of room for employment (lol @ original typo) improvement.
Learn to use Quicken
I bought Quicken Deluxe 2013 a week ago, since I was extremely disappointed with the Dave Ramsey software. I’ve slowly been playing around in it, although I’ve been distracted by etsy lately. I need to put more focus into learning this program. For personal and business reasons. From what I’ve done so far, I am still loving it though. This should help out immensely with tracking our spending and creating a reasonable budget.
Phew! That’s a lot on my plate for February, but I’m confidant I can get most of it done!

March Goals | said,

[...] February didn’t go quite as planned. We ended up in and out of doctors offices and urgent care with our 2 1/2 year old son. We didn’t hit our $1200 per month debt payoff goal, major bummer. Didn’t get our taxes filed. I didn’t have time to devote to this website. As a result of February’s failures, I’m keeping March goals short and simple, and I’m determined to accomplish them all. [...]
